Prehistoric paintings which were declared a World Heritage, Iberian villages, impressive castles of Arab or Templar origin, Renaissance sites, luminous Gothic churches and modern cellars with a Gaudi feel are magnificent examples of the diverse heritage accumulated over the centuries in Terres de l'Ebre. In fact the Ebre river has been a key element for all of the civilizations which have settled in the Iberian Peninsula. The Iberians, Romans and later on the Arabs and Christians, have left their mark, both cultural and monumental. From all of these civilizations we have been left a unique architectural legacy, adding a special character to these four regions in the south of Catalonia.
