There are some really beautiful places in Terres de l’Ebre, like the mediaeval quarters of Batea, Arnes and Tivissa, or the old village of Arabic origin, Miravet among others. There are still remains of the old Jewish quarter in Tortosa, with its web of narrow streets, and a number of monuments which were declared Places of Cultural Interest, as they are important examples of buildings from different eras, from as far back as the Middle Ages to the end of Modernism. Also of great historical-artistic relevance are the old quarters of Ulldecona, with houses from the fifteenth to the eighteenth century, La Fatarella with its trail of Porches, and Horta de Sant Joan with its architectural complex dominated by a Gothic church.
The original structure of a fortified village is still preserved in the wonderful old quarter, and it has been catalogued as a Heritage of Artistic and Historical Interest
