Iberians, Romans, Muslims, Christians and Jews have left their mark on the history and culture of Terres de l’Ebre. That is why the historical routes which cover the four regions of Ebre, allow us to discover a rich, diverse legacy; the Iberian villages of Tivissa and Moleta del Remei in Alcanar, Templar fortresses in Miravet and Tortosa, the towpath which borders the Ebre river and Ebre Battle sites, where some of the bloodiest episodes of the Spanish Civil War took place. You can visit an interpretation centre in most of these places which will help you to travel back in time and absorb all details of the local history which have forged the personality and culture of the people in Terres de l’Ebre. The Domus Templi (Temple domains) brand handles the route of the Templars | |
