CRAFTS, areas of Interest for Craftsmanship
The Generalitat de Catalunya (Catalonian Government) has established that any regions or geographic locations which are characterized by active, kindred crafts can be declared Areas of Interest for Craftsmanship. These areas are accredited by Artesania Catalunya, a public organization whose aim is to encourage craftsmanship in Catalonia. To date, there are two Areas of Interest for Craftsmanship in Terres de l'Ebre: the industrial sector of wooden craftsmanship and furniture in La Senia (Montsià) and pottery in Miravet (Ribera d’Ebre).
