FESTIVALS, music festivals

Music is the art which is most linked to the festive character of the people in Terres de l’Ebre. Bands, for example, are never in short supply at popular events which are organized by villages in the regions. This is normal however; as there are so many festivals to celebrate. The Jazz Festival in Tortosa, the Ebre Terra Wind Festival and the
Holy Music Festival are just a few of the most established musical events in the region. In Amposta, the capital of Montsià there is a high quality Music Band Festival with a long tradition, including groups from all over Spain. Other events to include are the Sant Carles de la Ràpita Guitar Festival, the Electronic Music Festival in Ascó and Hort de la Musica, the most popular, traditional festival celebrated in Roquetes.

Sacred Music Festival, Tortosa During Easter, in the central nave of Santa Maria de Tortosa Cathedral, there are religious performances written by composers such as Mozart, Bach and Bethoven, among others.
