King Prawn Celebration, Sant Carles de la Ràpita

King prawns are one of the most typical products in the cuisine of this seaside town, Sant Carles de la Ràpita. So, for the first weekend in December they celebrate with "La Diada del Llagostí" King Prawn Celebration. Some 4,000 people come to this celebration, where almost 350kg of king prawns are given out. This event also promotes other products from Terres de l'Ebre, like wine with Terra Alta Designation of Origin, and olive oil from Sant Bàrbara and Freginals. This is a great excuse for enjoying the best flavours of Mediterranean cuisine.
