Preservation of the magnificent biological diversity in Terres de l'Ebre is regulated by National Parks – the highest environmental protection in the Ebre regions – as well as by Nature Reserves and PEIN areas (Protection of Areas of Natural Interest). The banks of Algars River, Montsià mountain range, the Ebre islands, the riverside forest in Flix, La Serra de Pàndols, La Serra de Cavalls and La Serra de Cardó are also important natural areas. Visiting these places is a great way to complement your discovery of the Ebre Delta National Park and Els Ports Massif.
