The orography of Terres de l’Ebre is very uneven, especially further inland, where Els Ports massif in the western sector of the regions of Terra Alta, Baix Ebre and Montsià, really stands out. This area was declared a Nature Park in 2001 because of its natural richness and beautiful scenery.
On the other hand, between the north of the Baix Ebre region and south of Ribera d'Ebre, we find Serra de Cardó, which has rugged morphology and is covered with pine, oak and yew trees. And here, for those who enjoy speleology, there are important caves like La Rabosa, Ortigues or Benifallet Caves. A little further north, where the regions of Ribera d'Ebre, Baix Camp and Priorat meet, La Serra de Tivissa and La Serra de Llaberia dominate the horizon.La Fatarella mountain range is located in the north of the Ribera d'Ebre region | |
