The Montsià mountain range
add to planner
The Montsià mountain range is a group of mountains which is parallel to the mediterranean coast in the south of Terres de l'Ebre. They start near the Ebre River (in the north) and end near the Sénia River (in the south), covering a distance of 20 kilometres and with a width of 6 kilometres. The highest peak is Pic del Montsià (764m), however, one of the most carismatic peaks is La Foradada, which standing at almost 700m above sea level, is a magnificent natural viewpoint for the Ebre Delta. This highly beautiful, limestone terrain is covered in bushes. The villages of Alcanar, Ulldecona, Freginals, Amposta and Sant Carles de la Ràpita lie at the bottom.
