According to information from the Confederació Hidrogràfica de l’Ebre (Ebre Hydrographic Confederation – an organization which manages the hydrological plan for the Ebre area), the average volume of water for the Ebre at the same height as Tortosa is around 200 m3/s. In March, January and December there is usually more water (during these periods the monthly average can rise to 475 m3/s). In contrast, during the summer months water levels drop to a minimum of around 100 m3/s. It is important to remember that sailing will be stopped in the section of river between Tortosa and Móra d'Ebre when the volume is less than 150 m3/s.
