Sail with caution, above all at the mouth of the Ebre River. As a consequence of interaction between fluvial and marine processes, the morphology of the river mouth is a dynamic system. The formation of sandbars is constant, and therefore entering the river or leaving the sea can prove to be difficult. This situation may be worsened if the water level is low.
For most of the route, the maximum height for boats is 5.5m, and this is to avoid damaging bridges or other obstacles, to avoid any problems remember that when passing La Barca de Miravet, the height is only 3.5m.
For safety reasons it is recommended that sailors have a mobile phone with them, even though in some sections of the river there is no cover.
