HUNTING
Terres de l’Ebre offers a wide range of landscapes where it is possible to go hunting, however, the most popular places are Els Ports and the Ebre Delta.
Those who love hunting in the mountains go to the National Hunting Reserve in Els Ports in Tortosa and Beseit. Here, there are more than 28,000 hectares of rugged, craggy ground where you can hunt wild boars, rabbits, hares or partridges. However, in terms of fauna, the wild goat (Capra pyrenaica hispànica) is the real star, and has become the symbol for the mountain areas of Terres de l’Ebre.
The National Hunting Reserve at Encanyissada reservoir on the Ebre Delta is the only waterfowl reserve in Catalonia. There are Green necked ducks, Red billed ducks, and Whistlers, as well as Coots, seagulls and Common snipes.
Hunting licences are issued at Regional Offices, the Territorial Services Department of Agriculture, Farming and Fishing and the Catalan Federation of Hunting.
