Diversity and calmness distinguish a coastal identity in Terres de l'Ebre: on the north coast, there are solitary coves, hidden among reddish cliffs and surrounded with pine groves. In the south, spacious calm thin-sandy beaches prevail, with shallow waters.
Among rocks and coves in L'Ametlla and El Perelló, the ancient Camins de Ronda (Paths of Ronda) cover an eventful coast, which is full of bushes and dry beautiful vegetation. We find some plains bordering on fishing villages, used to the sound of rubbing provoked by the sinuous movement of boats. Looking at the sea, from L'Ampolla, the lighthouse is discerned sewing the horizon between the water, the sky and the thin layer of the Delta in La Punta del Fangar. Opencast, the deltoid plains infect solitude. Among desert mirages, low dunes and the humid spring greenness of paddies, the sandy beaches in Amposta, Sant Jaume and Deltebre coexist with the most emblematic spaces of the Natural Park. In El Trabucador beach, in Alfacs Bay, a brackish aroma allows us to get the seaworthy flavour of Sant Carles de la Ràpita, which we can notice as for the whiteness of some houses and, specially, in the dishes served in its restaurants. A bit southerly, between pebble beaches, we find the fishing village Les Cases d'Alcanar. We can see white houses that usually have colourful geraniums in the windows. Our look gets captivated by a picture of a few old women who are talking quietly in the street sitting on in a reed mace chair.
