KAYAKING, between Móra d’Ebre and Xerta
Lovers of kayaking, who prefer to see sections of the river which cross the interior regions of Ribera d'Ebre and Baix Ebre, can opt for a trip from Vinebre to Móra la Nova or that which goes from Miravet to Benifallet and takes about three hours.
Some attractive features of this wilder, more mountainous area are how narrow the river becomes at El Pas de l'Ase, or the spectacular scenery as the river goes through La Serra de Cardó. Those who are more adventurous choose a longer trip, which passes through Assut dam and ends in Xerta; the dam is a huge barrier which stops the flow of the Ebre River, and crosses it diagonally.
