Olive Oil Fair, Terres de l'Ebre. Jesús-Tortosa
The Descentralitzada de Jesús Association in Tortosa, organizes the Terres de l'Ebre Olive Oil Fair during the last weekend in February, it is one of the most well-established of its kind in the region. Over this period, visitors can purchase olive oil which has been produced in the Ebre regions, as well as participate in tasting traditional products. Furthermore, there are other events taking place too, including an olive stone spitting competition, a garlic mayonnaise competition, olive and olive oil tasting and a raffle guessing the assistants weight in olive oil. The gathering of Catalan musicians who play "grallers" and "dolçainers" (types of Spanish oboe) add a festive note to the event.For more information:
