AND CLOSE BY, Matarranya
Logo Matarranya

One of the biggest attractions in the Aragonese region of Matarranya is leisure linked to nature and rural heritage. This territory, which surrounds Els Ports massif, borders on Terres de l’Ebre in the east, and the Valencian region in the south. Tourists can find a wide choice of rural accommodation and a network of paths, suitable for walking, cycling or horse-riding. A good way to complement ecotourism is by visiting some of the small villages. For example, there is the historical town of Vall-de-Roures with its mediaeval bridge, Sant Roc gateway and the Consistorial House, in Renaissance style. If you stroll along its streets, you will see similarities to Arnes and Horta de Sant Joan, neighbouring Catalan towns which also had their period of architectural splendour during the Renaissance period.
