The Delta Oyster Celebration, L'Ampolla

On one Sunday in May, L'Ampolla has a culinary celebration with oysters, which is already a well-known event in the Ebre Delta. During the day, the fishing harbour is filled with visitors who come to taste some of the 2,500 kilos of oysters which are given out, along with a glass of cava.

You can also learn how to cook this delicacy, as well as enjoy some of the most original recipes, which have specially prepared by L'Ampolla's guild of restaurateurs. The Delta Oyster Celebration is the first celebration to take place, with the Main Cuisine Event in the village lasting until the end of June.
