Terres de l'Ebre Museum, located in Amposta, has the most important collections of objects related to nature, archaeology and ethnology in the Montsià region. There are approximately 20,000 objects arranged in four areas. The first, introduces visitors to the flora and fauna in Els Ports mountain range, the plain and the Ebre Delta. The second, shows human activity which is being developed in the last stretch of the river, such as rice cultivation, the tools used, the construction of shelters and fishing in the lagoons. The third area is an exhibition of different archaeological pieces from the palaeolithic to the Roman age, showing the importance of different villages along the last stretch of the Ebre River. The visit ends in an area dedicated completely to the Catalan stretch of the Ebre River, showing the river passing through Terra Alta, Ribera d'Ebre, Baix Ebre and Montsià regions, from Mequinensa to the estuary.

Terres de l'Ebre Museum is also linked to managing different local interpretation centres, such as the Freginals permanent exhibition, the Natural History Collection in Santa Bàrbara, the Iberian village of Moleta del Remei in Alcanar and the Ceramics Interpretation Centre in La Galera. Furthermore, as a dynamic cultural centre, Terres de l'Ebre Museum promotes a wide range of public activities during the year: exhibitions, workshops, conferences, lectures and guided visits among others.
