The cultural, social and natural importance of the Ebre River encouraged hikers and trekkers in Spain to create the GR-99, known as the Camí Natural de l’Ebre (Ebre Nature Path). This route follows the course of the river from Reinosa, where it begins, down to the estuary. It is about 1,150 kilometres long, and divided into 59 stretches of 20 kilometres each, which cross the autonomous regions of Cantàbria, Castilla-Leon, La Rioja, the Basque Country, Navarra, Aragón and Catalonia.Activities in nature
