The GR-92 is a big itinerary that goes across the whole Catalonia, from North to South, all along the Mediterranean coast. It links Portbou, in Alt Empordà, and the town of Ulldecona, in the region of Montsià. The Pont de l'Olivar bridge (near Ulldecona) is the starting point of this course, starting from the south. The track goes across the town and moves towards the Serra del Montsià. The itinerary goes past ancient paths (transhumance paths), fountains, lagoons, and olive groves, where little dry stone huts can be seen. After going past the Mas del Comú, we will get to the viewpoint La Foradada (650 m. high) where you can enjoy a fantastic view of the Massif of Els Ports, the Delta de l'Ebre and all the coastline. Here the road starts to descent towards Amposta to cross the inner part of the Delta de l'Ebre, as far as the coastal village of l'Ampolla. There, the GR-92 joins the Path of Ronda which will lead you to l'Ametlla de Mar, among coves, beaches and lonely cliffs.
