THE WEATHER

The mild climate in
les Terres de l’Ebre will make your stay here a pleasant one at any time of the year. This region in the south of Catalonia, enjoys a Mediterranean climate with hot summers and lots of sun, and mild winters with just a little rain, usually around spring and autumn. The coldest months bring the Mistral wind – from the north-east – leaving a beautifully clear sky which is perfect for gazing at the magnificent landscapes, without the interference of fog or mist. In the summer afternoons there is a gentle south-eastern sea breeze which is a thankful blessing to interior lands.
Temperatures during the winter fluctuate between a maximum of 20º and a minimum of 0º, and occasionally, a blanket of snow covers the Terra Alta region and other high peaks in Els Ports massif. However, during the summer, temperatures can reach 35º, but at night the sea cools down the atmosphere, and the mercury in thermometers can drop to around 15º. The climate in
Terres de l’Ebre is stable and mild throughout, which is favourable for outdoor activities at any time of year.
