SUSTAINABLE TOURISM PROJECTS IN TERRES DE L'EBRE, The World Day of Birds
The aim of the World Day of Birds, celebrated during the first weekend in October, is to make the public more aware of birds, while at the same time, encourage the society to become more implicated in preserving their natural habitats. This special day is celebrated worldwide, and in Spain it is co-ordinated by the SEO/Birdlife Organization.
The Ebre Delta National Park, an area with more than 350 species of birds, organizes a weekend full of activities linked to the world of birds: photography and drawing competitions, an open-doors day and guidance on observing birds from towers. All in all, it is a magnificent chance to get to know the diversity of fauna in this natural area.
